About the company
What does Avantix Innovation do?
Avantix Innovation Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian technology company founded in 2024 and based in Penang. We build industrial IoT systems, AI-integrated applications, custom enterprise software, and web and mobile applications, primarily for manufacturers, machinery distributors, and SMEs undergoing digital transformation.
Where is Avantix Innovation located?
Our office is at No. 7, Lorong Beringin 2, Taman Industri Beringin, 14100 Simpang Ampat, Penang, Malaysia. We serve clients throughout Malaysia and are positioned to support Southeast Asia, with on-site support available for Penang and the northern region.
Is Avantix Innovation a registered company?
Yes. Avantix Innovation Sdn. Bhd. is registered in Malaysia with SSM company registration number 202401000888, incorporated in 2024.
What industries does Avantix serve?
Manufacturing, machinery distribution, industrial equipment supply, service and maintenance companies, SMEs, and organisations pursuing Industry 4.0 and smart factory initiatives.
Does Avantix build hardware as well as software?
We handle both sides of an IoT deployment. That includes sensor selection and installation, RS-485 and PLC integration, and edge gateway configuration, through to the cloud platform, dashboard, and mobile application. Being responsible for the full stack avoids the integration gap that appears when hardware and software come from separate suppliers.
How long does a typical project take?
A focused IoT deployment covering a handful of machines is typically around two weeks from site survey to live dashboard. Custom software timelines depend on scope; a system replacing an existing paper or spreadsheet process, including data migration and training, has been delivered in under a week in past deployments.
Can Avantix connect machines that have no IoT capability?
Yes, and this is the majority of our work. Older industrial machines are connected either by reading existing controller and PLC registers over RS-485 Modbus, or by retrofitting external sensors where no data interface exists.
What makes Avantix different from other software companies?
Three things: every system is custom-built rather than a configured template; we handle hardware integration and software in one scope, which most software houses do not; and technical execution is founder-led, so changes are decided and delivered in days rather than passing through account management layers.
Does Avantix provide support after deployment?
Yes. We are based in Penang and provide local support including on-site attendance, in the same time zone and in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ongoing support arrangements are agreed per project.
How do I get a quotation from Avantix?
Contact us by phone at 012-8520289 or email info@avantixinnovation.com with a description of your operation and the problem you want solved. For IoT projects we normally arrange a site survey first, since the machines involved determine both the integration approach and the cost.

Can Avantix monitor machines that have no built-in IoT capability?
Yes. Most equipment we connect was built long before IoT. We retrofit external sensors, or read existing PLC and controller registers over RS-485 Modbus, then send the data through an edge gateway. The machine itself is not modified in any way that affects its operation or warranty.
How long does an industrial IoT deployment take?
A focused deployment covering a handful of machines typically takes about two weeks from site survey to live dashboard, including hardware installation, gateway configuration, and dashboard setup. Larger multi-line rollouts are staged line by line.
What happens to the data if the factory internet goes down?
The edge gateway buffers readings locally and re-transmits them once connectivity returns, so the historical record has no gaps. This is why we place a gateway on site rather than sending sensor data straight to the cloud.
How often is machine data recorded?
Our standard logging interval is one minute. That resolution is fine enough to catch short cycles, pressure spikes, and transient faults, while keeping long-term storage costs manageable for multi-year historical analysis.
Custom Software Development full details →
Why choose custom software over an off-the-shelf system?
Off-the-shelf software is the right answer when your process is genuinely standard. Custom development becomes worthwhile when the package would cover only part of your workflow and the remainder would fall back to spreadsheets, or when the process you want to keep is itself a competitive advantage.
Do we own the software Avantix builds for us?
Ownership and licensing terms are agreed in writing before development begins, and we scope each project so the arrangement is explicit rather than assumed. Discuss your requirements with us directly so the terms match how you intend to use and extend the system.
Can a custom system integrate with software we already use?
Yes. API integration is a standard part of our work — connecting to accounting packages, supplier systems, messaging platforms, and existing internal databases so the new system fits into your environment rather than sitting beside it.
How quickly can changes be made after launch?
Because our technical execution is founder-led, feature decisions do not queue behind account management layers. Adjustments and new features are typically turned around in days rather than the multi-month release cycles common with large vendors.
AI-Integrated Applications full details →
Do we need existing data before AI is useful?
For predictive maintenance, yes — a model needs a history of normal operation before it can recognise abnormal operation. This is one reason we deploy monitoring first and predictive features second. Chat automation is different and can work from day one using your product and service information.
How is AI-assisted monitoring different from a normal alarm threshold?
A threshold alarm fires when a single reading crosses a fixed line, which catches sudden failures but misses gradual degradation. AI-assisted monitoring learns the machine's normal operating envelope across several variables at once and flags patterns that are abnormal for that specific machine, even when no individual reading is out of range.
Can AI chat automation handle WhatsApp enquiries?
Yes. Our OmniChat system integrates with WhatsApp to answer routine questions, capture lead details into a CRM pipeline, and hand over to a human when the conversation needs one. It is designed for businesses receiving more enquiries than staff can answer promptly.
Web & Mobile Application Development full details →
Do you build separate apps for iOS and Android?
We build cross-platform applications from a single codebase, so iOS and Android stay at feature parity and only need one round of updates. This keeps both the initial build and ongoing maintenance substantially cheaper than developing two native apps in parallel.
Can the mobile app work without a stable internet connection?
Applications intended for field use are built to handle intermittent connectivity, holding data locally and syncing when the connection returns. This matters for technicians working inside plants and in areas with poor mobile coverage.
Can a mobile app connect to our existing internal systems?
Yes. We integrate with existing internal databases and business systems through APIs, so the app becomes another interface onto data you already hold rather than a separate silo requiring duplicate entry.
AirFinity full details →
What does AirFinity monitor on an air compressor?
AirFinity records energy consumption in kWh, discharge pressure, operating temperature, and run state, logged at one-minute intervals. Together these show whether a compressor is running efficiently, cycling abnormally, or trending toward a fault.
Does AirFinity work with existing compressors?
Yes. AirFinity is designed as a retrofit system for compressors already installed in the plant. We connect via RS-485 Modbus where the compressor controller supports it, or install external sensors where it does not, without modifying the machine's own control system.
How does AirFinity help reduce energy cost?
It makes compressed air cost visible per machine instead of buried in a single plant electricity bill. In one Penang deployment across six compressors, that visibility enabled roughly 15% in energy cost savings within three months, alongside a 40% reduction in unexpected downtime.
Can AirFinity data be used for ESG reporting?
Yes. Continuous kWh logging produces an auditable energy consumption record per asset, which is the underlying data most energy efficiency and ESG reporting requires. Reports can be exported from the dashboard rather than assembled manually.
Avantix SitePass full details →
What does SitePass replace?
It replaces the paper visitor logbook and the separate spreadsheets used to track contractor safety inductions and documents. All three become one digital record that can be searched, reported on, and checked automatically at the gate.
Can SitePass manage more than one factory?
Yes. SitePass is built as multi-tenant SaaS, so a group operating several plants manages them from one platform while keeping each site's data, access rules, and reporting separate.
How does SitePass handle contractor safety compliance?
Safety induction status, certifications, and document expiry dates are stored against each contractor record and checked at check-in, so a contractor with lapsed documentation is identified at the gate rather than discovered during an audit.
Can I see who is currently on site?
Yes. Because check-in and check-out are both recorded through the guard interface, the system maintains a live on-site roll — the information needed during an evacuation, which a paper logbook cannot reliably provide.
Service Tracker full details →
Who is Service Tracker built for?
Machinery distributors, industrial equipment suppliers, and service companies that maintain equipment for customers — organisations managing recurring service schedules across many machines and multiple customer sites.
Can we migrate existing service records into Service Tracker?
Yes. In a deployment for a Malaysian equipment distributor, complete migration from legacy Excel records was finished in under one week, alongside staff training on the new system.
How does Service Tracker speed up quotations?
Because equipment history and parts data already sit in the system, a quotation is generated from existing records rather than reconstructed from files. One distributor reduced quotation turnaround from three days to under two hours.
Does Service Tracker prevent missed service schedules?
It issues automatic reminders when equipment is due, based on each machine's maintenance schedule. The distributor deployment referenced above reported zero missed service reminders after moving off paper job sheets.
OmniChat full details →
Does OmniChat work with WhatsApp?
Yes. WhatsApp is the primary channel, which matters in the Malaysian market where most B2B and consumer enquiries arrive there rather than through a website form or web chat widget.
Will customers know they are talking to AI?
OmniChat handles routine enquiries automatically and escalates to a human when the conversation needs one. How the automation is presented to customers is configured per deployment — we recommend being straightforward about it, since the value is fast accurate answers rather than pretending a person is typing.
What happens to leads captured by OmniChat?
Lead details are captured into a structured CRM pipeline automatically, so an enquiry becomes a trackable record instead of remaining buried in a chat thread on one salesperson's phone.
Fleet Management System full details →
What does the Fleet Management System track?
Vehicle position in real time via GPS, route history, mileage and engine hours, fuel consumption, driver behaviour, and upcoming maintenance requirements — per vehicle and per driver.
How does fleet tracking reduce operating cost?
It exposes cost that is otherwise invisible: inefficient routes, driving behaviour that increases fuel burn and wear, and vehicles consuming disproportionate fuel. It also moves servicing onto actual mileage rather than a calendar, which avoids both premature and overdue maintenance.
Who is this system built for?
Logistics companies, transport operators, and any business running delivery or service vehicles where the fleet is a material cost centre rather than a couple of cars.
Company CRM System full details →
How is this different from a spreadsheet pipeline?
A spreadsheet records the pipeline; a CRM acts on it. Follow-ups are scheduled and fire automatically, history is retained against the account when staff change, and conversion can be analysed by stage and by person rather than counted manually.
Can the CRM connect to our chat and enquiry channels?
Yes. It is designed to work alongside OmniChat, so enquiries arriving by WhatsApp or web chat are captured into the pipeline automatically rather than re-entered by hand.
What reporting does the CRM provide?
Conversion analytics by pipeline stage and by salesperson, activity and follow-up completion, and pipeline value by stage — the figures needed to see where deals are being lost rather than only how many closed.
Factory Costing System full details →
What does the Factory Costing System calculate?
The full manufactured cost of each product: material cost from the bill of materials, direct labour, and allocated factory overhead — presented as a breakdown so it is clear which component drives the cost.
How does it help with quotations?
It checks margin against real calculated cost at the point of quotation, so a price is committed knowing the actual margin rather than assuming a standard markup covers it.
Is there a demo available?
Yes, a live demonstration of the Factory Costing System is available online, so you can see how BOM costing and margin analysis work before discussing a deployment.
Procurement System full details →
What procurement workflow does the system cover?
The full cycle: purchase requisition, multi-level approval, purchase order generation, delivery tracking, and goods received note (GRN) receipting — with spend analytics reported across the completed cycle.
Can approval routing match our internal authority limits?
Yes. Approval routing is configurable with multiple levels, so requisitions follow your existing authority structure and value thresholds rather than a fixed vendor-defined chain.
How does the system help control spend?
Every purchase passes through a recorded approval before it is committed, and spend is reported by vendor and category. That gives both preventive control at approval time and the consolidated figures needed for vendor negotiation.
